Crochet Chat and Lesson this evening---yeah, yeah, I came out of hibernation to teach....smile

Hello, hello Ladies:  Theresa (student) and Tomomi--very nice to meet ya.  See, I told you, you could crochet!  Total newbie, learned in about 10 minutes!  Go ahead, pat yourself on the back--ya did good! 

Oh, Youmei xiaojie, ni hao ma?! Wo hen hao, xiexie.**

Audience--for ya never know who's stoppin' on by...best to watch your step tho:  hooks and yarn are everywhere!  What, housekeeping?  What's that?!

**That's Mandarin Chinese for "how are you, Ms. Tomomi?  I am very well, thank you"  I love it!  (I took Chinese in high school, NYC)

Shout-outs to Toya, manager at ShoeLand and former New Yorker--Hey Lady, what's up?!  Thanks for your lovely comment about my style:  yeah, I love it too, ha.  It was really nice meeting you!  Yeah, those gold sequin boots were kickin'!  We'll keep in touch!

I'm exhausted, got more crocheting to do tonight.  Netflix's "Transporter 2" will keep me company for now.

A letter we rec'd from our youngest daughter's, Jasmine, school on yesterday:

Congratulations to your daughter!  Her writing has been selected to represent C. Elementary School in the county level of the Young Georgia Authors' Writing Competition.  We are so proud to have such an excellent piece of writing represent C.

The county competition will take place in the middle of March..

We are proud to have such fine writing represent our school.

Rejoice with me!!!!!!!!

And she was transferred to this school Jan '06.....

Just a quickie post....(and a short title; don't that beat all! now, you done gone made it a loooong one--can't you give those fingers a rest?!) You wouldn't say that if my yarn&hook depended on it, which they do, right guys? (silence) H&Y, hello?u there

I got madd Crochet to do--dress rehearsel, for the upcoming fashion show, this weekend.  I met my other 2 models yesterday--beautiful ladies.  But my poor camera died on me--needed new batteries, waaaah.

I'm psyched--about the show, not the dead camera!--but also trying to pare down some ideas--it's coming.  Crochet-aholic, hic, that I am.

Interesting--Google search in French turned up "too cool" for my crochet granny square 3 pc outfit on their engine.  That has been soooo very long ago, that I just wanted to include the pics plus the post.  Enjoy

"Guess I'm Back...with a "Title" this time"

This is my fun blog. I will post and enjoy myself as much as I can! You are, of course, welcome to knock, browse and sit a spell but it's still my place of domicile. And we will remember our manners. (smile) That said---did I enjoy myself looking at my home, closely! Besides the dust here or there--particles are everywhere even in a "clean" home--let the sunlight shine brightly in a room...
Again, repeat: I enjoyed my visit in my own home! I kicked back, laughed a spell, hugged the interior spaces and just breathed long and deep: my voice, my vision, my place in life! oh, how refreshing to be able to have thoughts verbalized and seen, to Hear myself clearly. Well, sure there are a couple of run-on sentences but the gist of the energy & flow is evident: you are a joyful, creative person. And no one can steal it---na na na na na. Will I "draft" my own unashamedly praise of my self and blog of fun? nah, doesn't the top say "birth of a new language, I answer in crochet"
It's one thing to have another praise you, but when you wow! yourself from all the toil and sweat, yes, Tears! I am rejoicing exceedingly in my own works...whew! it feels good!Download windbeneathmywings.mid

I am real curious about what I will have to say a month-3 months from now and the growth...

usually I don't do many granny square styles but check this one out--too cool!

I have an 11am appointment at Gwinnett Technical College today...

And I am thinking of heading on over to the Spruill Center for the Arts. 

Yesterday, I had this urge to go to The High Musuem of Art in downtown Atlanta...but a nap overtook me.  I can see art, fiber, motion all in play as I walk throughout the musuem, CROCHETING!

btw, Da Hook will be in attendance!

     This was a lovely sentiment written to me from a very dear, dear person, and I want to share.  We all need encouragement, exhortation, strengthening and planting of joy & faith into the soils of our lives, even if it needs to be fallowed--get my drift?  Look at the shoots & blossoms, the potential spore it produces, so propagate on.

There is only going to be very few women who can share your enthusiasm and creativity as it explodes forth!!! and then only one man~~~

diamond in transition/make the final cuts....blackness, but the very spray of many hues and grades of talent

the poetry in motion is so kinetic--active when you crochet--is rhythmic and captivating!

Potential--inactive only waiting like a powerfully coiled spring:  you are 'fully loaded' waiting to jump forth in a blur of new dimensions!!

I love to watch you sketch and go from being 'pregnant' into 'labor' and 'deliver' in joy & sorrow--newborn ideas/designs!

You're a wonderful and very protective mother to your ingenuity!!

You carress the yarn, teaching it how to breathe, live and love being seen and it just hugs you!  Can an outfit or an accessory be proud to be worn?  Does it shine for its creator/mother?  Do your 'natural' children?  Of course, so why not your designs?!

Take the time to enjoy what you are Becoming

Be tempered like chrome steel: 1. strong but not brittle 2. malleable but not easily dented
